BREEAM Domestic Refurbishment

Our surveyors are qualified to work with clients and their project teams during the key stages of domestic buildings that undergo refurbishment.

The BREEAM Domestic Refurbishment uses a number of individual measures, evaluates and reflects the performance of the refurbishment project based on seven categories including management, health & wellbeing, water, energy, waste, pollution and materials.

In addition to promoting sustainability and environmental awareness, the aim of a BREEAM Domestic Refurbishment highlights the environmental credentials of the work to the client, helps to increase the property and rental value, helps reduce the risk from flooding, fire and security issues and improve the health and well-being of the occupants.

A Domestic Refurbishment applies to existing dwellings undergoing refurbishment, buildings undergoing change of use into residential e.g. offices being converted into flats and new dwellings built on top or underneath existing dwellings that are undergoing refurbishment.
