Elvet Chartered Surveyors were appointed by York City Council to provide Clerk of Works services during the construction of the much-anticipated Centre for Excellence.
The scheme was delivered in partnership between York City Council and NHS England to deliver a new £4.4m purpose-built facility designed to help disabled children and young people remain in their families and communities.
Councillor Ian Cuthbertson, City of York Council’s Executive Member for Children, Young People and Education, said:
“The Centre of Excellence is a landmark building for York, providing a base where children and young people with complex needs and disabilities can receive help and support from a wide range of professionals within the city.”
On the same site we were asked to oversee the redevelopment and extension of Lincoln Court to create 35-apartments, offering high quality independent living facilities with improved communal facilities.
Both projects ran concurrently within a 12-month programme, which was credit to the careful planning and coordination of the project team.
Elvet Chartered Surveyors are proud to have been involved in the successful delivery of both amazing schemes which will undoubtedly improve the lives of those living in the area.
