Inspections undertaken on void properties

We have been successfully working with Mears Group for the last three years to undertake cavity wall inspections and deliver Energy Performance Certificates (EPC’s) to void properties on behalf of housing provider, livin.

livin were concerned that certain properties within their portfolio may not have benefitted from cavity wall insulation prior to stock transfer and requested that new EPC’s and cavity inspections were carried out.

Due to our performance delivering EPC’s on the original properties, we were invited to price for a new commission which included 860 properties across the Sedgefield Borough. Our services included the following:

• Issuing introduction letters to residents prior to inspection;
• Completing a full EPC;
• Intrusive inspections of the cavity walls; and
• CIGA compliant inspection if the cavity was found not to contain insulation.

The commission was successfully delivered in May 2015.
