Villa Real Bridge Realignment

Through NEC3 Option B, Elvet have been appointed as Project Manager and Site Supervisor by Durham Neighbourhood Services, for the proposed Bridge Realignment at Villa Real. The project involves the demolition of the existing bridge and associated approach embankments and realignment of the main road and C2C Sustrans route at Villa Real which connects Consett and Leadgate.

New housing – Hallgarth Street

Elvet Construction Consultants were appointed in 2013 as a development partner for private investment company, FT Management, who were exploring the possibility of investing capital into the construction of new build housing.

Utilising BIM technology – Lynwood House

A brand new sheltered housing development in the heart of a County Durham village is one of the first social housing developments nationally to utilise full Business Information Modelling (BIM) services.

Elvet appointed construction manager for JCT Management Contract

Elvet was appointed as construction manager under the JCT Construction Management Contract. The project is due for completion in Autumn 2015.

Elvet oversees delivery of £12m investment programme

As part of the HCA’s Affordable Homes Programme, we were appointed by North Durham housing provider to oversee a £12m investment programme over a three-year period.

Lynwood House – Mixed New Build Development

We have been appointed project managers for Lynwood House; a new build mixed development, which includes 33Nr 2 bedroom luxury apartments for the 55s, GP surgery and community facilities.

Stock condition surveys delivered for Coast & Country Housing

As part of our asset management service, we were appointed by Coast & Country Housing to deliver stock condition surveys to 400 social housing properties over a four month period.

Derwentside Homes: Repairs and Maintenance review

Elvet was appointed by North Durham housing provider Derwentside Homes to conduct a repairs and maintenance review.

Case Study: Hallgarth Street

A private developer wished to transorm an old Methodist Church within Sherburn Village to provide new housing. The scheme required the demolition of the former Church prior to the construction of new houses. The developers main requirement was to maximise the potential of the site within local planning rules, providing attractive modern housing, whilst adapting methods to reduce the overall construction programme.

Castle Court – Apartments and bungalows for over 55s

Castle Court is a major refurbishment and amalgamation of three separated buildings into one large complex offering 41 luxury apartments for the over 55s with 5Nr 2 bedroom bungalows built in the grounds of the premises. The scheme has recently been completed.
